That's fine to me but programmers told me overwriting fbx files can mess up the meta files. I only have the standard import and Unity export option, but that is the same exact workflow I used before the new instancing. Maya might have updated it or possibly its because I have a student version. , and in Maya the Unity - import isn't there. I've switched out the code to cache the FbxNode data that I need when it's on windows to get past the GetChildCount and GetChild methods not working on OSX which gets me further but I'm unable to build with the package version of this asset.
